Lexington, Michigan (Thursday, May 8, 2008): Back to the great state of Georgia we go as the ASA Late Model Series Southern Division Presented by GM Performance Parts parade of Crews, Drivers, Fans, Officials, and Teams are on the road and heading out to Cordele, Georgia!

Race number Three for the ASALMS Southern Division is back in the Peach State as the 4/10s mile semi-banked D-shaped paved oval of Watermelon Capital Speedway, located South of Macon in Cordele, Georgia is the site for the Watermelon Bowl 100.

Will ASALMS South Points Leader, Jimmy Lang make it three in a row? Or will defending race winner, Beau Slocumb stop Lang’s streak in its tracks at his home track! Perhaps another superstar such as Colt James, or Fountain Motorsports teammates and Co-Rookie of the Year Points Leaders, 17-year-old Blake Lehr and Chad Pierce will make some noise this weekend!

Bluffton, South Carolina (Thursday, May 8, 2008): Jimmy Lang has been super hot in ASA Late Model Series racing. The last two starts in the ASALMS Southern Division have resulted in trips to victory lane for the Bluffton, South Carolina driver. Yet, his first start in the ASALMS Challenge Division in ’08 did not net the triumph that Lang has come accustomed to. Lang started strong 200-lap event at O’Reilly Raceway Park (IN), but ended up coming home 13th....

Welcome, North Carolina (Tuesday, May 6, 2008): For only 125 pounds, Nationwide Series regular Kelly Bires is tough. His crew chief Scott Zipadelli can tell you that first hand. "He got a little lippy so we wrestled here on the shop floor," Zipadelli laughed. "Nobody won, but I almost had a heart attack and had to stop. He's tough...got a lot of heart." A lot of heart and determination are words Zipadelli and many others use to describe the 23-year-old....
